Although we conduct business all over Maryland, Mary Charters & Associates specializes in the areas of Gaithersburg, North Potomac, and Darnestown, which are all located in Montgomery County, Maryland. Montgomery County is situated just north of Washington, D.C. It is the most populous jurisdiction in the state and one of the most affluent counties in the nation. It is a part of the Washington portion of the Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan Area.  

Located in its center, the largest municipality in the county is the City of Gaithersburg. Within Gaithersburg are the new urbanism neighborhoods of Kentlands and its more recent sister community of the Lakelands. However, most of the county's residents live in unincorporated locales, such as North Potomac and Darnestown. North Potomac, once a part of Gaithersburg, is a small unincorporated town South and West of Gaithersburg which prides itself on newer homes. Darnestown is located to the West of Gaithersburg and to the Northwest of North Potomac. While its land area is greater than Gaithersburg, the number of residents is lower because the lots are generally larger.
